A Nonprofit Built to Solve the Housing Crisis
Non-Profit Construction Corporation (NPCC) is a 501(c)3 charitable organization and California-licensed contractor (CSLB #1125441) headquartered in Northern California. Founded to address the widening gap between housing need and financial access, NPCC directly donates funds, skilled labor, and construction services to families of modest to very low incomes who would otherwise be unable to achieve safe, stable housing.
Unlike organizations that only administer grants or refer families to other agencies, NPCC operates as a hands-on construction nonprofit — meaning our team physically builds and rehabilitates homes. This direct-service model eliminates layers of overhead and ensures that community resources reach families in the most efficient, impactful way possible.
NPCC also develops and administers innovative private partnership programs — including subsidized manufactured housing initiatives and multi-family ADU programs — that leverage relationships with licensed dealers, lenders, and community stakeholders to create homeownership pathways that no single organization could deliver alone.
- Direct construction and rehabilitation services — not just referrals
- Income verification, intake, and technical assistance for every applicant
- Private partnership agreements that deliver built-in community subsidies
- Programs spanning new construction, rehabilitation, and disaster recovery
- Manufactured and factory-built housing programs with subsidized pricing
- Multi-generational and ADU housing solutions for Northern California families
Non-profit Construction is a 501(c)3 charitable organization that donates funds, labor and services to in need families and individuals of modest to very low incomes in order to bridge the financial costs of affordable housing across Northern California.
The Housing Crisis in Context
California has one of the most severe affordable housing shortages in the nation. According to the California Department of Housing and Community Development, the state needs to build 2.5 million homes by 2030 to meet demand — with the greatest need concentrated among low and very low income households. Northern California rural and suburban communities face compounding challenges: wildfire displacement, rising construction costs, and limited access to traditional financing.
NPC was built specifically to address these gaps — combining nonprofit mission with licensed construction capacity and innovative partnership models.
What Sets Non-Profit Construction Apart
NPC combines the accountability of a certified nonprofit with the capability of a licensed contractor — and the innovation of a private partnership model — to deliver real housing outcomes for Northern California families.
