Veteran Home Improvement Program (VHIP)

We offer our veterans as many opportunities as possible, to not only receive any of the services we provide but as well encourage their participation.

As part of our free charitable services in the Veteran Home Improvement Program or VHIP we ask our able bodied Veterans and Service members to participate in local Veteran Organization’s such as Veterans Of Foreign Wars or VFW hall meetings in order to foster and promote additional resources and support to our Veteran community as a whole. They may provide another Veteran Organization or service in our community to be considered as well. This gives our Veterans on opportunity to receive services without enduring or contemplating whether they are taking away from another Veteran or community member in need. We do not want any Veteran to feel guilty for reaching out for services! You can receive a service and as well have the opportunity to contribute all at the same time.

VHIP OVERVIEW

  • The VHIP program is funded through On-the-Job training projects that generate revenue from construction services in the community and are reinvested into home rehabilitation services for veterans participating or requesting assistance from the VHIP program. This program provides free home repairs to veterans in our our community.
  • Non-profit Construction Corporation allocates materials and Licensed General Contractor services and Man Hours to veterans in need of home repairs and encourages veterans receiving services to participate in at least three Veteran service organization events. These events can be anything  VFW Hall meetings or events a hall of your choice puts on, Veteran Events Supporting other Veteran services and organizations or even participation in one of Non-profit Construction Corporations Veteran Home Improvement projects within the VHIP (Veterans CANNOT participate in their own VHIP project to fulfill this request)
  • The VHIP participation request is only REQUESTED if the Veteran requesting assistance is not 100% disabled or physically or mentally unable to participate.  We provide the VHIP program to all veterans in need and though participation with our local VFW halls and other organizations is strongly encouraged, it is not a requirement. Veterans are eligible for down payment,  construction cost assistance and homeownership pathways as well. As we learn more about our veterans and their needs we are able to identify further services we can provide to them in our community.
  • Non-profit Construction Corporation is an Affordable Housing Development Organization that has a dedication to Veteran Housing and Homeownership. Veterans are eligible for 100% factory cost of Manufactured and Modular homes through our Subsidized Manufactured Housing Opportunity program.
